Maybe their secret plan is to just let facebook continue down their present path towards "SAMSUNG presents, your timeline! "Hey facebook user, what's on your mind?" "I had eggs for breakfast." THIS STATUS UPDATE BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE NEW DUNKIN DONUTS EGG CHEESE AND SAUSAGE AND BUTTER AND DONUT SANDWICH BETWEEN MUFFIN TOPS, TRY ONE TODAY! Hey user, who is that in this photo you uploaded? Is it Carl? It looks a lot like Carl. I'm going to put it on Carl's timeline CARL'S TIMELINE HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO YOU BY WALMART! Carl likes Walmart, user. You probably do too, since you're such a good friend to Carl. I'll just go ahead and add the fact that you like Walmart to your timeline. Status: "Looking forward to this weekend." THIS STATUS BROUGHT TO YOU BY BUD LIGHT! IT'S NOT A WEEKEND IF YOU AREN'T DRUNK ON TERRIBLE BEER! BUD LIGHT!

Google+ is good. Instant upload is handy. Hangouts dominate anything any other social network has.

Their photo albums/integration with groups and hangouts is awesome. Facebook doesn't come close, unfortunatly people using a social media product aren't looking for technical dominance, they're looking for critical mass.
