Another article with internet comments as sources. I can't wait for the follow-up.

Users of the site Fark.com also offered some hypotheses. One user wrote that the saxophone is included because Santa would look odd playing a trombone, another user wrote it was because pianos do not fit down chimneys, while another user stated there was no way Santa would play a mouth harp (also known as a Jew's harp).
