"The biggest star of 2013... could be Ison - the comet of the century"

I froze with anger and frustration at this.

CSB time:
I once encountered a lovely young woman who, while stargazing, mentioned how Venus would be visible just for that night. Some other careless person pointed out it could actually be seen by the naked eye for several days. It was her answer that forced me to ruin the whole experience "Yeah, but it's still like one of the brightest stars" ....
Me: I think you mean planets.
Her: No, Mars is the brightest. It's in the Big Dipper (points to Orion's belt)

Me: Um, that's not. (I pause and prioritize) Okay, from our perspective the SUN would be the brightest star.
Other fellow: ...and the other two are planets.
Her: No, the ones beside it are stars.
This whole Abbott & Costello routine went on for a rather long time, evolving into an argument. The only key, horrifying quote of which that still sticks with me is when she shouted "THE SUN ISN'T A STAR, It's a SUN!"

Now I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure pretty girls aren't allowed to continue to believe they understand life, the universe and everything when they insist on such idiotic beliefs.

So I shot her.

...I mean, I took a shot, and then another, and then another...

And eventually all was well in the world.
I hope she marries an astronomer. Her astrologist told her she would.

Well that sounds neat. I don't know that much about comets and stuff, but I don't htink it's going to appear as big as the picture in the article.

I hear it's actually a magical spaceship that will take us all to heaven after a nice refreshing drink of kool-aid.
