(AZ Family)   When a reporter asks her a question about climate change, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer answers with a reasoned and nuanced response. Just kidding. She punches the reporter in the arm. "Where in the hell did that come from?"   ( divider line

Sorry, Governor Brewer, but reporters don't confine themselves to the questions you want them to ask.

Typical anti-science, idiotic Republican. It's a shame that the GOP has become the party of morons and it doesn't look like it's changing anytime soon.

The people of Arizona have a penchant for electing batshiat crazy. They got it.

She's confused how a question about human influence on climate change is coming up during a discussion about energy policy? Apparently the people of Arizona also like retarded.

It's ironic too because AZ would do well (and needs to) to pay a lot more attention to green energy and environmental conservation. For one thing, they have an ENORMOUS problem with water and one of the best ways to deal with it is to use more efficient appliances and work with the environment instead of against it (and limit new housing of course). Additionally AZ is perfectly situated to take advantage of solar energy and to a lesser extent wind. If solar ever figured out how to appropriately integrate into a national energy network and/or store more efficiently, AZ would be a gold mine.

Did she follow "where did that come from" with "I'm talking about energy"? Does she think that energy policy and climate change are unrelated?

I guess if you think that nothing humans do could possibly cause climate change, then you'd think that climate change and everything are unrelated.

Lady, what's your problem? I only punch friends and family in a playful manner, not strangers.

lennavan: BraveNewCheneyWorld: You have to love the "everybody has an opinion on climate change" statement. There are no opinions on the subject, there are those who are informed, and those who aren't.

And lets be honest, the vast majority of people are uninformed, including many on the side who agree with climate change.

Absolutely. But why is it people who'd never presume to say they know more about particle physics than particle physicists, more about molecular biology than molecular biologists, etc., all of a sudden know more about climate change than climatologists?

Peter von Nostrand: WTF is wrong with the South. How do we keep electing these batshiat insane (insert just about any Southern Republican)?

/that's usable in just about all threads, actually

What do you expect from a region too stupid to wear shoes to war and so lazy that they used black people like farm equipment. The South has never been, and never will be, a fountainhead of knowledge or decency.

Looking at the video, she tapped him with the back of her hand. Sort of like knocking on a door. And she didn't sound angry, more condescending/disappointed.

But it is kind of insane that she thinks it's an unfair or irrelevant question when talking about energy.
