vd61: factoryconnection: unitednihilists: All that money (trillions of $) spent on munitions that were never ever (sorry 2 of them) used for there intended purpose.

Their intended purpose was deterrence. War was killing an increasing number of people every year for over a century, peaking during WWII with 65-75M dead total. We had two World Wars in 30 years. Since the advent of the nuclear age the rate has been more or less constant at 1M/year. Yes there have been regional conflicts and 1M/year is tragic, but when war is contained then you don't end up with mass starvation, imprisonments, disease and deprivation across entire theaters, continents, and disruptions of the global food chain. Some reading on the topic.

So, yeah, imagine if that trend had just continued.

And what as that decline bout us? Gross overpopulization. Maybe it's time to either a] think out the herd or b] admit not everyone can have a bunch of shiat and share resources/food more. Which we have a natural ability to make surplus of, but are hindered by various situations..

/seriously though, try taking a moment to proofread your posts in the future. I get the basic idea of your post mostly through keywords, but to actually interpret what you just wrote is another matter entirely.
