(Jezebel)   Long, long ago, Black Friday sales started on a day called "Friday". Ah, those halcyon days of innocence, when retailers cared about employees, elves could pass sex offender background checks, and no one cared about nativity scenes (Not safe for work language)   ( jezebel.com) divider line

CygnusDarius: Valentine's Day is a Job Creator's holiday through and through.

Because it creates Job Creators?

the_rhino: Its disgusting that stores start their sales on thanksgiving.

No, actually, it's disgusting that you oppose capitalism. Black Friday shopping should be compulsory. There is absolutely no reason that an able-bodied male or female should not support Wal-Mart, Apple, Best Buy, and others in their greatest time of need.

Walker: Bendal: The local news reported that there were shoppers already camping out in front of local stores that were going to open on Thanksgiving evening.

This was reported yesterday; yes, we've got idiot shoppers who are camping out in front of a Wal-Mart or Target or some other store for 3 days just so they can get in the door first.

On Saturday I saw people camped out at the local Best Buy....and one had a tent.

These assholes?  Someone please go shoot paint balls at them.

Black Friday sucks. Cyber Monday however, is something I fully support.
