People, people, please. Most sports are boring. But that's not a bad thing.

For one, spectator sports are social events. The more downtime there is, the more time spectators have to socialize. I've seen it in the NFL threads: the game sucks, so people start talking about food or TVs. We're bonding.

For another, the boring parts make the exciting parts stand out. It's like playing a piece of music at mezzo piano (or piano, in the case of baseball and cricket), and then HOLY CRAP WHY ARE MY EARS BLEEDING?
