(The New York Times)   What bargains could you find at the Museum of Modern Art's garage sale? How about a Spongebob alarm clock for $18?   ( divider line

This is so douchey. Even for modern art.

You go to a rummage sale or a garage sale, you're not thinking "this really conceptualizes consumerism and is a metaphor for modern life's renewal of the individual through purchasing meaningless tat." You're thinking, "if that biatch doesn't give me the Xfiles boxset AND the credenza for twenty bucks I'm walking!"

I love a car boot sale. I don't care where it is.

She has put on the sales around the world, collecting things in each locale and sometimes selling profoundly personal things, like her son's baby shoes and used diaphragms.

Great idea - I'm going to sell my used condoms at my next yard sale.

I bet I could find at least three things there that are worth more than she has them priced at.

My girlfriend and I saw them setting this up a few nights ago when we attended a reception for another exhibit. It looked pretty interesting from the view of the photo in TFA. I will wait to judge this one once it opens, but most of what MoMA exhibits is pretty amazing.

/"The Scream" was a bit underwhelming
//the new Tokyo avant-garde exhibit is amazing however
