WizardofToast: Did BP add to the article saying they were sorry?
PC LOAD LETTER: Did it edit said article first?
Horseraddish: For people who care about this story and want more detail on the deeper issues (than the obvious fact that BP wouldn't want to accurately represent the flow from the spill), I recommend this story from On The Media:http://www.onthemedia.org/2012/oct/19/subpoenaeing-science/
Spirit Hammer: From the article, it didn't seem that BP was intentionally misrepresenting the rate of flow, rather that they allowed some idiot exec
Spirit Hammer: to make up his own numbers, and then they all stuck with them.
Magorn: Gona get a LOT more expensive than that. Since DOJ is pursuing a civil finding of "gross negligence" fines and damages TRIPLE, which means this could end up cost BP another $21 BILLION before this round is all done.
