Android 4.2 is the shiatitest version of Android since Froyo.. It's half baked shiat.. The lockscreen is an asshole and whoever the bag of dicks was that decided to use bold face only on the hours portion of the digital clock should be sodomized with Capt'N Crunch.

I'm holding out for the Nexus 6. I hear it comes with a four year lifespan, *and* you can get it in a basic pleasure model.

Leeds: Let me get this straight-
-There is a device called a "Nexus 4" that has a 4.7" screen
-There is a device called the "Nexus 7" and it has a 7.0" screen
-There is a device called the "Nexus 10" and it has a 10.39" screen

And yet you claim that you are baffled by the numbering system.

MrEricSir: spawn73: MrEricSir: spawn73: MrEricSir: I'm really, really lost with Google's numbering system. How is it that the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 came out at the same time?

Do you have to be extremely intoxicated to work for Google's marketing department?

They didn't, the Nexus 10 and 4 came out at the same time.

And no, you're not very bright.

So Google can't get their product numbering straight -- and it's my fault?

Good thinking, smart guy.

You're the only one who can't figure it out.

I have no interest in jumping through arbitrary marketing hoops. If I have to check Wikipedia to figure out what a device is -- let alone which of two is newer -- then the marketing department has failed.

Even Microsoft gave up on this sort of nonsense and went back to contiguous numbering. It's almost like people want to know what they're buying.

It is contiguous numbering, it's the 4th Nexus phone. There were three Nexus phones before, this is number four in the row, it's called the Nexus 4.

Now, to make it really really simple, for people like you, on the tablet side, Google includes the specifications in the name. So the Nexus 7 comes with a 7" screen, the Nexus 10 comes with a 10" screen.

Now, tablets and phones are two different product lines, that's why the number has different meanings.

But hang on fella, why do are they both called Nexus then. That's again to make it simple for, well not you, because you haven't got a clue, but for other people, to let them know that the device comes with an unmodified version of the Android OS, and will be kept up to date to the newest version by Google.
