You know, I've admired Sesame Street in the past for pulling no punches and not assuming that children were small mentally-impaired people right from the get go. This is just kinda shameful to me.

Storms come, you can't stop them. You can however meet them with some degree of composure (rather than panic) brought on by some sense of pride that you knew how to, and did, prepare yourself for it.

Why do kids need to be shielded from this information again? Ah yes, because they're too stupid to realize it's a show, and far too stupid to simply ask their parents for clarity about what's going on in the real world.

Cause that's kids, right? They don't grow a brain until they're at least ten or so and therefore you shouldn't tax grey matter that isn't there. Come on Sesame Street, apparently you were better than this even ten years ago. Stop slacking.

Weeeeeelllllll, what they're doing is editing a ten-year old piece to show mostly cleanup. If they had aired this starting a few days before the storm, then I would be more concerned that they keep the preparation scenes in. So this isn't exactly the equivalent of editing the Death of Mr Hooper saga before it aired because they were afraid kids would be overwhelmed.
