And she's qualified, how? I guess if Arnold and Ronald can do it, why not her?

Ashley Judd is a Phi Beta Kappa scholar (woot). She has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University. She's the global ambassador for the YouthAIDS NGO and is on the leadership board of the International Center for Research on Women.

wouldn't vote for anyone who made the terrible choice to star in a movie about a roided up former rassler turned tooth fairy.

No. Senators rarely get elected without prior political experience, and when they do they usually suck because they don't know how to work the system

No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen. [U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 3, clause 3]

She'll be 46 in 2014, has been a citizen since birth, and as far as legal inhabitance goes there's more than enough time to establish that. Though her Kentuckian credentials at least aren't really in any kind of serious dispute.

Since those are the only qualifications... I'd say she's qualified.

I thought the only qualification required, apart from the aforementioned constitutional requirements, was being able to vote the party line (or to occasionally transcend party boundaries to vote yourself a raise).

Son, my state has elected Rand Paul and most recently Andy Barr (over Ben Chandler), and they've allowed McConnell to hang around long enough to become the most important turtle in Washington.
At this point we could elect a muppet and it would be a step up.

School funding was recently reduced to 2008 levels. Soon it will be at 2006 levels.
Creation Museum funding has increased. Yes, the one with Jesus on a dinosaur.

Wikipedia: The Phi Beta Kappa Society, an academic honor society in the United States, has 280 chapters. It aims to promote and advocate excellence in the liberal arts and sciences, and induct the most outstanding students of arts and sciences at American colleges and universities.[1] Founded at The College of William and Mary on December 5, 1776, as the first collegiate Greek-letter fraternity, it is also the oldest honor society for the liberal arts and sciences and among the oldest undergraduate societies in the United States.[2] Phi Beta Kappa (ΦΒΚ) stands for Φιλοσοφία Βίου Κυβερνήτης or philosophia biou kybernētēs - "Love of learning is the guide of life".[3][4]

It should be Rep. John Yarmuth, known by his constituents as "Congressman Awesome," to beat Senator Cash on the Night Stand and No Kissing, but the Democratic Party machine won't allow it since Yarmuth may appear too liberal for Kentucky voters (TRANSLATION: he's from Louisville and is a Jew).

It really doesn't matter, to a certain extent, who you vote for anymore.
Why? Because they are almost all corrupt! When a new politician gets to DC,
you know that they are probably pulled into the leadership office and given a talking
to. "Welcome to Washington xxxxxxxxx, here's how things work. You vote the way
we tell you to, and we'll put you on any committee you want. Go against us, try to
make waves, and we will create a scandal that will have you gone by the next
election. Do what we want and you will be a millionaire, set for life inside 6 years.
Go against us, you will be broke & homeless by next year.
Probably how it goes in DC....the city is so corrupt, anything short of a nuke & rebuild
won't fix it.
