Entirely appropriate that a guy who enlisted in the Marines in 1942 was born on the 11th day of the 11th month. Not sure on the hour, though.

Any clip of him and Robin Williams is fantastic. I saw a clip on YouTube once of the two of them on Letterman, and Dave just kinda gives up on trying to get a word in. They just riff on each other for hours.
