Nicholas Urfe: They got outplayed.

You obviously didn't get the memo. The only team that can beat Alabama is Alabama, through their own mental weakness. So you see, last week, when Alabama was beating the crap out of Alabama in Baton Rouge, McCarron had to save the game from the other Alabama, which was clearly the better team. This week in their own stadium, Alabama ran up a quick 20 points on Alabama before they all calmed down to make a game of it. The problem was that at the end, that part of Alabama which is the only team that can beat Alabama, scored more points. Alabama is still unbeatable and unbeaten. They only lost to themselves.

And that is why a 1 loss Alabama is still undefeated.

Somewhere, up in Pigskin Heaven, Bear Bryant turns to a newly arrived Darrel Royal and says, "sucks to be Sabin and Brown, don't it?"
