And the Democrats have officially gained seats in the Senate in this election, assuming King does caucus with them, when there were 23 Democratic Senate seats up to 10 Republican. The Democratic seats were incredibly unsafe in a half dozen states, and one year ago, there was almost no chance of the Democrats retaining control of the Senate.

They picked up seats.

Thanks Republicans, it couldn't have been done without you.
