pivazena: I'll have to think through this more, but this disgusts me. Spend millions of dollars to diagnose a condition of aging with no appreciable treatment? For the purpose of what, exactly? There are plenty of diseases the course of which can be changed with earlier diagnosis; I don't think dementia is one of them./Unless I'm wrong about that, in which case, go about your business
Suede head: Super news. "Well, Mr Smith, you'll be slowly degenerating into a burbling simpleton with no bowel control. We managed to diagnose this early due to new technology so you have fifteen months to think about the horror in store for you. No, of course we can't do anything to stop it".
KrispyKritter: i was babysitting mom today. dementia is a come and go thing sometimes. she is real bad at night. today was over the top. she was hallucinating there was a truck sinking into the dam out past my sisters property (house on lake front) and that the water of the lake was up and over the porch. NJ, yes. flooded storm area, no.
