My costume requires a tiny bit of explanation:

I'm pals with a certain former TFette who has gainful employment in the field of wearing thongs and pasties in a professional capacity. She works literally right down the street from me.
I'll meet up with her after her shift and we'll go get food. A couple weeks ago, I had a short conversation with one of her co-workers (while I was waiting for my friend to put her civilian clothes back on) that included the phrase: "Oh man, you don't LOOK older than my dad..."

Anyway, on the appointed costume-wearing day, I stopped by that place wearing this, carrying the stuffed version and with a Pumpkin Pail with "Free Candy" scrawled on it with red sharpie.

No one got it. They all thought I was dressed up as a teddy bear. Which is probably for the best.

Two of the secretaries coordinated on a costume. They each dressed up as a ghost bee, then walked around together as a pair of "boo bees".

/Too many people here didn't get it

Best: zombie chemist complete with gelatinous face-goop simulating an infected bite
Worst: Me, with my Sharpied H on my forehead (3 minutes of effort, and that includes the 2 minutes it took to walk to the bathroom mirror). So far nobody's gotten it, not even the Pommy
