Rodents for Romney:

Which seems just about right.

Duke Phillips' Singing Bears: Awww. That's cute.

Last time around, Frontier Airlines, which for those who haven't been in an airport in the last decade is our regional discount line, ran a fake election between the different tail fin animal mascots, complete with attack ads and yards signs. It was kinda nice to hear that attack ad voice and then realize its talking about a rabbit and endorsed by a dolphin.

Noticeably F.A.T.: sirgrim: 30-06 with hollow points and they explode like little meat balloons.

.30-06 is kinda expensive for dogs. Hell, even .223 is getting a little too high. No, subsonic .22LR is where it's at.

/I am with you though, the big stuff is more entertaining.

I'm a fan of using a flintlock hawkins .50 cal on burrowing rodents (granted ground hogs instead of prairie dogs back east here)

/I'm sure Dittybopper approves

I'm formerly of CO, now living in AZ, and I have to say that prairie dogs are vermin, that the reason CO is a swing state is because the number of people in FoCo, Boulder and Denver, plus the scattering of liberals elsewhere equals the huge number of C Springs and rural conservatives. The C Springs cons are scary.

Rodents do tend to stick together.

Kurmudgeon: No surprise, I'm sure Romney is real popular with the weasel community as well, same as the Kochs and similar.

The Weasel-American community frowns upon your shenanigans.

Silly prairie dogs, give me those signs. You can't vote, you don't have IDs.

Come spring, the political plague rats will all just be coyote, fox, and hawk chow again. Same as it ever was.

And those are just the ones in Washington.

Meh, .460 Weatherby is much better. 30-06 is grossly underpowered, especially on a charge. If you've only got one shot you need to make it count.

Met a cute, hardworking girl at Waffle House late tonight here in Colorado. She hates your non-working liberal guts, and your worthless President. She gets it. Glad to be back home, where people would rather work than suck from the government. If you're older than 20, younger than 65, and able--bodied, go to work and quit whining.

Noticeably F.A.T.: HeadLever: For your standard doggin' outing,

For your standard outing, perhaps, but mine involves several towns within a quarter mile of each other. We set up on one and go until they stop popping their heads up (which can be quite a while, they 22 doesn't seem to bother them as much), then hit up the other one. By the time that one is played out the first is active again. Rinse, repeat, wipe hands on pants.

/you might be surprised at the range a 22 has out of a good rifle.

No doubt. If you have a town or two that is close and the residents are not too skittish, a 22 is great. Especially since the low report does not scare them off.

Most of my experience is average of 100 to 150 yards or so, and that gets a little difficult with a 22lr, especially with a little bit of wind thrown in.
