Pretty sure those Republicans don't have much in common with the 'Party of Lincoln', due to the big gap between them.

that is a work of art. i clicked on the 'original size' and it looks awesome. really complex but wonderfully colorful. looks like stuff scientists do in labs.

This apparently is using a relative scale, since if you used an absolute scale, Bernie Sanders (I, VT) would be standing alone in center-left, with Barack Obama as center-right, and the bulk of congress being in the dark red far-right territory.
