dumbobruni: ronaprhys: Meh - it was only hipsters. It's not like anything of value will be lost if they don't make it.

how do I know you don't know what hipster means?

/I guess Patrick Stewart is a hipster

Dude - I was making fun of hipsters before you even knew what a hipster was. Not surprising that you've not heard of it.

ftfa: The first wave hit the Park Slope Food Coop early this morning, leaving in its wake a Kafkaesque nightmare with 78% cacao chocolate bars.

The threat is recognized... the essential parameters of the situation are understood (even if the scene is chaotic and tense, the goals and obstacles are easily identifiable)... what is "Kafkaesque" about it?

Saying "surreal" would already have been a silly, hyperbolic cliche of a description, but why print that when you can go all in and even more inaptly call it "Kafkaesque"?

/sorry. pedantic pissiness finished
//for now ;)

Farnn: I think the whole foods and coop craziness is because it's all the young unprepared peoples who suddenly realize this may actually be a serious storm and don't generally stock much food in their house know how to cook or do much of anything else.
