I_C_Weener: Battleship is inferior to Risk
raerae1980: I_C_Weener: Battleship is inferior to RiskNo one wanted to play Risk with me *hangs head in shame* It was too long of a game. Worse than Monopoly. To this day I have never played Risk.
Pants full of macaroni!!: "Season of the Mitt" would scan a little better.....
beta_plus: Wow, how do you sit down with all that butt hurt subby?I guess you went to a unionized public school full of tenured pedo kindergarten teachers since you've never heard the term "Pyrrhic Victory"./when you pay millions to paint Romney as a caricature of a retarded and drooling Scrooge McDuck and that's not what he is at all, it tends to hurt you//don't be so lazy next time and remember to wrap your lies in the truth
Citrate1007: Journalism died a long time ago.
Jim_Callahan: Citrate1007: Journalism died a long time ago.Well, more like the idea that journalists were ever particularly ethical or devoted to getting a real, truthful story is a fiction we picked up from Saturday Morning Cartoons in the 80s, not something that has ever actually occurred in history ever.April O'Neil: Not actually a real person, dudes. Clark Kent, ditto.
balloot: I vote across the board for Democrats and I think it is unassailably true that Romney won the debates. Obama came into the first debate on track for 350ish EVs in a solid victory, and after the third debate is barely holding a razor thin lead. How could you reasonably argue that Mitt *didn't* win this part of the cycle?
spelletrader: Considering that Romney was dead in the water before the first debate, I'd say he did come out the other side the better off of the two candidates./Obama voter
MFL: spelletrader: Considering that Romney was dead in the water before the first debate, I'd say he did come out the other side the better off of the two candidates..He is the better of the two candidates. Mitt Romney looked like the incumbant president last night and Obama looked like the challenger. This is because Axelrod has never figured out a strategy on how to run as an incumbant. This is on him. I think Obama was ill served by his own people his entire presidency. They are a bunch of amatures.
kronicfeld: Headso: yeah wtf was that "Syria is Iran's only ally in the Arab world. It's their route to the sea."... Iran has a huge coastlineIran and Syria do not share a border, and Syria has a coastline on the Mediterranean. Romney could not have said a stupider thing.
fluffy2097: Bush, because "He was someone I could hang out with."
vpb: Seems fair to me. Romney brought his campaign back from the dead with that first debate. Obama may have won two of them, but Romney is a viable candidate and he wasn't before.
Mitt Romneys Tax Return: he thinks his supporters are idiots and won't notice
ManateeGag: fluffy2097: Bush, because "He was someone I could hang out with."but I would never hang out with Mitt Romney.
MFL: Romney is steadlily pulling away from the president and he knows it.
barneyfifesbullet: Ryan was told to lay back and let Biden put on a show. This is what Romney did to Obama last night. It worked.
DeaH: Romney didn't look presidential when he was almost in tears and crying that the president was "attacking him" by talking about the stuff Mitt said. Presidential-looking people don't go into a flop sweat.
HST's Dead Carcass: Unfortunately, the news networks rely on ad revenue just like every other channel you don't outright pay for. Sure, they could make the election a non-issue and just admit Romney's fialing horribly and call the election for Obama, but then what? What do they fill their 24 hours news with? There's not enough pretty white girls being abducted lately, and the whole teacher sleeping with students has already reached it's apex and is on the downslide with it occurring more and more. They NEED that ad revenue. So, they come up with new twists to make it seem more compelling than it is, literally making up the news. Then, there's Wolf Blitzer /facepalm.
I_C_Weener: Dr. Whoof: I_C_Weener: Sooo, you are saying...that there is a vast right wing media conspiracy?[blogs.villagevoice.com image 478x451]No, not at all.I thought your prior comment mentioning CNN meant you thought it went deeper than Fox.
TheBigJerk: I_C_Weener: Dr. Whoof: I_C_Weener: Sooo, you are saying...that there is a vast right wing media conspiracy?[blogs.villagevoice.com image 478x451]No, not at all.I thought your prior comment mentioning CNN meant you thought it went deeper than Fox.It doesn't go deeper than Fox, it goes shallower. /predictable jokeCNN leans right-wing, not because they are run by true-believers or part of a secret conpiracy but because they think they have to. As the republicans "Work the refs," as conservatives sit and enjoy their daily affirmations, as every media source is reminded profits are more important than truth the bias of profit and obedience and conservative malaise and cheap-but-easy scares every major news source is dragged down and to the right. Down and to the right.
