I'll say this- I'm a Dodgers fan. And during my time living in SF I became a huge A's fan. I don't like the Giants. But one of my best friends passed away earlier this year and he lived and breathed Giants baseball. I found out about his death on my way to a Dodger/Giants game earlier this season... I had been trying to call him to wear him out over the match up. Wherever he is now in spirit, I'm glad for you my friend. Still an inning to go here and a ways to go after that. But you'd have loved this!

W.C.fields forever: UNAUTHORIZED FINGER: W.C.fields forever: Me thinks Tim McCarver's problem is,he talks to us like he would be talking
to his great grand shorty's.

I think you're right.

/dunno if I can hang with all the buffering on
//every 10 seconds
///making me crazy

I was a fan of McCarvers in the'80's,back then he seemed insightful..I was young..didn't
know any better...But he did enlighten me to a few it's like sitting with your crazy
Uncle at the game..and he won't shut the f*ck up.

There was an article about this last year around this time....... the basic premise was that McCarver used to be good but then he stopped thinking about the game, stopped bothering to learn about young and up coming players, and the game more or less passed him by. I'll try to find it......
