lonomoholo: Subby, some truth there, depending on where in Canadia you are. I grew up in Montreal and believe me it's pedestrian pinball downtown. On the other hand, I subsequently moved to Halifax and was astounded when cars two blocks away would stop to let me cross, even if I wasn't going to. I just happened to be near the curb and looking kind of pedestrian-y.
Having said that, Halifax is the cat;s ass.

(in Ottawa now...okay, but not Halifax)

I was going to post about regional differences, but then I thought I'd be polite and wait for you to go first.

Also, this from the wiki article on Red Rover made me laugh.

Practices particularly discouraged are linking players hand-to-wrist or hand-to-arm (rather, players should hold hands only), "clotheslining" an opposing player at throat height, or extending the hands so an onrushing player runs into a fist.
