If you believe that Psychics are, well, psychic, the fact they can't predict their own future is indeed irony, since it's contrary to the expected outcome.

I remember William Katt (guy from The Greatest American Hero) was part of it, and I said it was based on the fact that his mom was getting old and he knew she'd die any day now.
