Weigard: What the hell is a Braves fan?

You can tell one when he starts having a tantrum and throwing beer bottles onto the field.

ddam: akula: farbekrieg: akula: I figured there'd be some X Factor fans whining about this. But then again, seen one singing show, you've seen them all. So screw those whiners; who cares what they say?

advertisers and networks, those shows make bank. I dont get the appeal but im not part of the target demographic.

That's definitely the only reason those shows still exist. They're dirt cheap to make compared to a traditional show and there's enough viewers to make plenty of cash on the commercial slots.

Still, it wasn't the advertisers complaining- it's the people for whom one single week without the vocal stylings of wannabes and washed up entertainers is just a bridge too friggin' far to handle.

They're not dirt cheap anymore when the judges get paid 10-20 million per season. Maybe the judges on So You Think You Can Dance don't make that much but that show has a ton of talent on display even if I don't like a lot of the jazz or contemporary dances. But those dancers, especially those in top 10, have a lot of talent. I just wish they'd do less contemporary/jazz pieces but that's a matter of preference.

in addition to advertising monies and yes they do pull in huge ratings, they also fleece their audience by billing them to vote (like 2$ per vote and vote as much as you want) and these things have a higher weekly turnout for voting than the presidential elections (ok I pulled that number out of my ass but they have millions of additional revenue coming in that way).
