Exavier Wardlaw will learn very soon what that means. I'm assuming they're already putting the episode together for next week

Wait, considering the statute of limitation, wouldn't he have had to file the case in less than two years? I mean, wrongful death is like 5 years..

This...if those evil corps know they can't win when it comes to brilliant parody, then this guy doesn't stand a chance.

Fat chance. They vetted each character design of those episodes through their lawyers to ensure there was enough of a difference that it fell under "fair use". That, and the fact that he waited all this time before getting all lawsuit-y, I'm thinking just another attention whore. Probably hoping for a Lollipop King comeback.

Dear U.S. of A.,
A base is something on which, or, (even better) upon which, other things rest. Nothing can be "based off" anything. If you are trying to evoke "copied off of", or some other oddball speech, please don't. Just say "based on", or "based upon" and spare the poor, crapped-upon English language the brunt of your culture.

Take a hike!

No seriously, grab some gear and go on a long walk through some nature and trees and get some fresh air...relax a bit. Maybe camp for a couple nights.

I'm assuming that since you referenced the Rotsky incident, you must also have at least some recognition of its significance here on Fark and therefore realize that your method of referring to it was very poorly executed.

I doubt they've ever seen this idiot's garbage.

Here's a trailer

Yes, it is awful. It isn't a cartoon, but some sort of church play. This guy established his "lollipopforest" YouTube channel in 2006, which predates the South Park Episode... but "Lollipop Forest" is, itself, stolen from the "Oz" series of children's books,

The clock starts ticking once the original copyright holder discovers the infringement, not from when the infringement occurs. It is possible this guy didn't find out about the content in this South Park episode until recently.

Just because someone has a copyright, doesn't mean they have to monitor every piece of media that is created; mainstream or otherwise.

Failure to act to protect your IP interests in a timely fashion should be grounds for dismissal of a lawsuit like this.
