Well, they ARE specialists aren't they?

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's starting a fire when to avoid them you're paid

It sounds like he was transferring a flamable gas, possibly with a pump, and it developed a static build-up. The build-up discharged and ignited the gas. I used to work in the fire safety industry and we made pumps for gas transfer. They always had a grounding clamp to prevent shocks.

Was it run by hipsters?

That no smoking sign is there for a reason.

Fire specialists and this was the worst they could do? Even their incompetence is mediocre.

These people?

OXARC Inc. is a family owned business that has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as industrial, medical and specialty gases, since 1968. OXARC stocks a variety of retail and wholesale items and houses a complete service, warranty repair, and emergency repair facility for welding related products.

Yeah, they have a fire safety division...and McDonalds sells salads.

Uhhh... a dude working the night shift in a warehouse is NOT a fire and safety specialist... just wanted to point that out. Not sure why TFA felt the need to take a jab at the company... but whatever.

Once the bottles burned out without damaging or igniting anything else, the hazard was over and the man was sent to Harbor View Medical Center, Gear said.

That's right. You sit and look at the fire you caused; once it's done THEN we'll take you to the hospital. I hope you learned your lesson.

What if Fark intentionally misuses the Ironic tag, and then fails to use it when actually appropriate, as a form of irony?

Yeah if a dude is working a night shift, emptying gas tanks, he isn't a fire or safety specialist. At least not in job title.

Fire fighters are just arsonists who don't want to go to jail.

I was playing 'FARK -The Game' and had to choose between
Fire Marshal Bill in 1
Fire Marshal Bill within 3
Fire Marshal Bill not in the first 10.

I choose #2.
Won that round.
