keygrip: Worst.

Holy crap its keygrip!

Oh, and the list... i think I've heard maybe 10 of those songs.
2012-10-09 11:55:31 PM
NME and a slideshow? Double fail.

Few songs mess with me. Scrubs is responsible for most of them.

Here's all the hipster bullshiat deslidified in case for some reason you actually care about shiatty bands like Arcade Fire and Radiohead that are popular for no discernible reason.
2012-10-10 12:06:16 AM

I am apparently not cool enough for music.
2012-10-10 12:11:34 AM
Too Close by Alex something-or-other.
2012-10-10 12:12:13 AM
Alex Clare...I knew it would come to me. It's only been a few minutes since I've heard the song for the 10th time today.
2012-10-10 12:16:24 AM
They put the wrong Pink Floyd song on there. Should have been "Echoes."

How they made this list, managed to include Explosions in the Sky, then left off M83 is beyond comprehension.

FishyFred: They put the wrong Pink Floyd song on there.

Christ fark that's what I came here to say. There's like a dozen more that would qualify as goose-bump worthy above Time. Shiat - anything off of Animals...and anything *else* off of DSotM.

I'll give them The Chain and maybe Purple Rain.

Strobe by Deadmau5?! Yeah, it's nice but if you're a trance kind of person, that isn't the best Deadmau5 you can come up with...(I Remember - Kaskade, sits at the top for me).

Dunno about the rest of those, but this one always does it for me:

niksula.cs.hut.fiView Full Size

Orbital - Lush 3-1 3-2

Listening right now. I've heard the song thousands of times and it STILL gives me goosebumps.

jaylectricity: Alex Clare...I knew it would come to me. It's only been a few minutes since I've heard the song for the 10th time today.

You know dubstep has jumped the shark when it's in a Microsoft commercial.

Is it just me or does M83 sound like they wouldn't be out of place on an 80s-era 4AD sampler?

What kind of deaf jackass is paid to make this sort of list?

violentsalvation: What kind of deaf jackass is paid to make this sort of list?

An NME editor.

No Ballad of the Alamo? No Reuben James?

GAT_00: violentsalvation: What kind of deaf jackass is paid to make this sort of list?

Yeah, given the source, I guess my question was a bit redundant.

please allow me to add Guns N' Roses "This I Love". That song farks my head up.

I might agree with Mayonnaise, though Soma is more effective goosebump-wise for me.

And aren't songs that give goosebumps different for each person? For instance, I get goosebumps every time I listen to Cancer of the Heart by Skyclad, but I bet 25 other people could listen to it right now and would have no reaction. Stupid.
2012-10-10 03:50:35 AM
My God, you can almost hear the author yelling "LOOK AT HOW EDGY AND COOL I AM! LOOK AT HOW EDGY AND COOL I AM!"

Jeez, man. There are easier ways to get the chick who works at the thrift shop into the sack.
2012-10-10 03:51:38 AM
Synopsis: I got drunk and didn't have time to write an actual article so I just listed the contents of my crappy music collection and called it golden.
2012-10-10 03:54:01 AM
Y'know, I generally try to be tolerant of these lists given everyone's different tastes in music, but if you can make a Top 50 Goosebump list and not include Johnny Cash, I would probably choose "Hurt," you can go fark yourself. Especially when you're going to give four spots to farkin' Radiohead.

/I'll admit to liking Arcade Fire, but Neighborhood (Power Out) isn't exactly goosebump inducing. If you're going to put them up, put up "Body is a Cage"
2012-10-10 03:54:57 AM
I get goosebumps from American Pie and Cat's in the Cradle.

Haven't heard but a few of the songs in the list.
2012-10-10 03:58:21 AM
I'm not going to suggest any songs that should be on this list. That would just elicit responses from morons who want to disagree with me. So instead, I'll just say the songs on the list are all crap, because that's the part of posting in these threads that I really enjoy.

/didn't look at the list
//it's just as well because all those farking songs suck
2012-10-10 04:23:42 AM
2012-10-10 04:34:58 AM
Cocteau Twins - Carolyn's Fingers
Cocteau Twins - Hitherto
The SUNDAYS - Goodbye
The SUNDAYS - On Earth
The SUNDAYS - My Finest Hour
(pretty much every note The SUNDAYS ever recorded)
The Sugarcubes - Birthday
Ride - Sennen
School Of Seven Bells - Half Asleep
Arcade Fire - Keep The Car Running
Curve - Horror Head
This Mortal Coil - It'll End In Tears
2012-10-10 04:52:45 AM
Only a handful of songs on the list that I've even heard. I think.

Best goosebump song, I got to see Pink Floyd live in 1994, and 'Comfortably Numb' blew me away. For the next 8-10 years, just thinking about that moment gave me goosebumps that anyone could see on my arms.

Another good one, 'In Your Eyes' on Peter Gabriel's live album.
2012-10-10 04:56:04 AM
That's a convenient list of goosebump songs I don't want any of you to buy me. I already have Albatross.
Not a Radiohead fan so that cuts out most of them.
2012-10-10 04:56:57 AM
Oh, the opening of Pink Floyd's 'Sorrow' from MLOR used to give me some nice chills also. Gilmore has a gift for that.
2012-10-10 05:00:56 AM

Texas Gabe:
Curve - Horror Head

Great song. "Perish" from Gift would be on my list.
2012-10-10 05:07:31 AM
Nice to see Brandi Carlile on there - the pride of Ravensdale, WA. Got her start singing in coffeehouses on Seattle's Queen Anne Hill.

Besides her, I recognized maybe a dozen songs on the list. I'm old....
2012-10-10 05:12:28 AM
My #1 is "Hipster Elite" by A Band You Probably Never Heard Of
2012-10-10 06:12:29 AM
That was just plain awful. All 50 clicks, hoping it would redeem itself.
2012-10-10 06:52:11 AM
There were very few listenable things on there. They skipped this one and replaced it with a bunch of kids' music it seems.
2012-10-10 07:13:50 AM
Spinal meningitis by Ween. I gonna see God, mommy?

2012-10-10 07:17:00 AM
"The voice" and "The Call" sung by the Celtic Woman group give me goosebumps
2012-10-10 07:21:14 AM
4 Radiohead songs?
Nothing from Tool?
fark off...
2012-10-10 07:23:46 AM
Hey list, there aint no need for ya!

You can go Straight to Hell, boys.

2012-10-10 07:47:09 AM
Country. Your list of goosebumpy songs fails without country, you wankers. Here's two.

Dwight Yoakam - Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room

George Jones - He Stopped Loving Her Today

Otherwise, list also fails without

Crowded House - Into Temptation

Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come

Beach Boys - God Only Knows

Peter Gabriel - Family Snapshot

Frank Sinatra - Angel Eyes

Percy Mayfield or Aretha Franklin - River's Invitation

And especially Alison Krauss - Jacob's Dream.
2012-10-10 07:48:02 AM
List fails without "I Cum Blood" by Cannibal Corpse.
2012-10-10 07:51:46 AM

fruitloop: 4 Radiohead songs?
Nothing from Tool?
fark off...

Yeah, I didn't click the link, was hoping that some brave sould would have written the list in a comment, but that tells me everything I need to know.
2012-10-10 08:04:15 AM
2012-10-10 08:04:45 AM
We're talking goosebumps, and no Roy Orbison?
2012-10-10 08:07:42 AM
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Into My Arms
2012-10-10 08:12:44 AM
I'm assuming this list is from the "artsy" sophomore living in your freshman dorm who listened to deep music.
2012-10-10 08:13:38 AM
Goosebumps are dependent on a person being able to to interpret the music and recreate its feelings for yourself. Some people will get them listening to Ode to Joy others listening to Taylor Swift.
2012-10-10 08:19:23 AM
"The Humbling River" - Puscifer
"No Quarter" - Led Zeppelin
"Skip's Song" - Robert Plant (version)
"Wanderings" - Lunatic Soul
"Lunatic Soul" - Lunatic Soul
"Gravity" - A Perfect Circle
"Deform to Form a Star" - Steven Wilson
[most anything by Ray LaMontagne]
2012-10-10 08:22:25 AM
I must be old and out of touch, or I'm just not very well educated on music. I managed to get to 20, but I lost interest in the rest because I have never heard of most of these bands / artists.
