Sriracha is just not that hot. That's party why it's good - you can taste the sauce. Some of the other sauces are so hot it's just capsacin and you burn out the tast receptors.

could be interesting. there are a lot of different ways to make an ice cream... I've definitely had ice cream with peppers and enjoyed it. the thing is, we're taught ice cream is supposed to be some sweet dessert dish, but it can be more versatile. I've had avocado ice cream that might be my favorite ice cream ever, but it really wanted satisfy you if you were looking for a sweet dessert.

I love sriracha for crap foods and weird experiments, but when you're trying to make something nice, I think it's better to use a fresh pepper.

/ btw sriracha is actually pretty mild as far as hot sauces go. people like it because it tastes better than other hot sauces.

1) I like spicy things as much as the next guy, but as an adult, I know that there are limits to how much should be used so that it doesn't overwhelm other flavors.

2) I also know that making food is like making music. You have to use flavors (and sounds) that compliment each other.

This recipe violates both rules.

This sounds incredible. If one thing is good and another thing is good the obvious thing to do is add them together to make them double good. Increase the size by two as well. There is no good reason to enjoy ice cream as ice cream and dishes that favor sriracha separately. In fact blend all your food together, bread it, deep fry it and enjoy. It'll have to be good!

Actually, that would be Sriracha cookie ice cream sandwiches. And they didn't even make the flipping ice cream.

They (Huy Fong) make a Chili Garlic sauce that is perfect for adding a nice but not overwhelming heat and flavor stir fry.

/I'll pass adding hot sauce to ice cream though. :)
