I could see as she sat alone at the bar that she was looking over her list of red lights and reassuring herself, "I bet if I paid $5 a month the admins would actually green my submissions". I ordered a drink for myself and another round for her and took a seat next to her, opened my ipad to opera and showed her my handle.

"You're a farker too?" she said as she took the drink from the bartender and clinked it against mine in a show of thanks. She asked me if I had ever signed up for totalfark to which I replied, "signing up for TF is like joining a fraternity in college and I'm too cool to 'pay for my friends'" and we laughed a hearty laugh....

God-is-a-Taco: The 90's concept of the internet was so much better.

[i50.tinypic.com image 500x469]

Look at them, they're surfing the information superhighway and the kid in front is wearing his green hat in a way unacceptable to polite society. His shoes use velcro instead of laces because he doesn't subscribe to cultural norms.
They might even have blinking red lights on the back when he walks.
But he knows the importance of companionship; one can't traverse the unknown alone.

Generic Blonde Girl is there with pink and purple clothing because she's a female.
Prudie over there in the baby blue shirt and fitting jeans is voice of reason of the group. He will steer them away from trouble, with mixed results.

But this is the 90's, being a revolutionary doesn't mean you can't hang out with people of color.
You have the black kid to the right, and what could possibly be an Asian or Hispanic on the left.
In fact, it was the black kid's suggestion for him to wear his head in such a rebellious manner.

These kids may not look like much, but they're the future of this world wide web. We would do well to invest in Scholastic Books' vision of the future.

Actually, it is a dis on retarded-Americans because of the velcro shoes, a dis to the African American community because the black kid is angry looking and shameful to breasted Americans because none of them have any except the Reddit girls (not pictured, I kinda liked the big 'un).

Eh, maybe I can like Reddit now.

Sticky Hands: themeaningoflifeisnot: babysealclubber: What I want to know is how to identify the Fark side of the room.

Look for a guy wearing a banana hammock.

I never said I would be there.

Me neither. (And I've got the pics from FarkCon to prove it.)
