Do they charge you extra if you're sitting in a coach seat and it slides into first class?

Gyrfalcon: vudukungfu: LargeCanine: Do not be alarmed. This has nothing whatsoever to do with the unions.

Or the TSA.

They're not allowing wrenches on planes now?!?

They are, but only plastic wrenches, with handles less than 3 inches in length can go onboard.

I really hate to see what's going on with AA right now. I used to fly them exclusively because they were the only ones that still did all of their maintenance in house and in the US. They have a great FF program. They didn't run right to bankruptcy court like every other major airline after 9//11 so they could void the contracts they had.
Now it looks like not only are they going to go down that same road, but they may merge with US Air,who still has seperate pilot gropus seven years after the merger with America West. Will three pilot unions be even better?

PC LOAD LETTER: Great. Just booked a flight on AA because it was the cheapest. I wish I read all this shiat about their union troubles first. Can't change the flight unless there's a business-related reason and none of this counts. Plus AA is one of our clients. Fark.

Fuggin Bizzy: "The clamps were used on only 47 of our 102 Boeing 757 airplanes."

Whew, that's a relief. Seats may come loose on just 46% of AA's 757s. That's less than half!

Anything up to 47% can be completely ignored.
