Many innocent lives (mostly chicken lives) could have been saved today, if those darn left wingers in congress could stop their clucking long enough to pass a mandatory chicken safety-belt law. I think it's finally time that we address this issue and require mandatory safety belts for ALL chickens, regardless of nationality or breed. Think of the chicks people. Do the right thing. Contact your local congressman and tell him you support the Initiative for Safer Chickens.

I'd like to know whose processing plant those birds were headed to. I bet the survivor's meat will be tough as hell.

JOHNDX, that only applies to REpublishing it, etc. You're still allowed to LINK to the article.

Otherwise nobody'd be able to read it.

Ah, I see. Usually I spot jokes by their having the property of being amusing.

Ha! Ha! Hundreds of innocent animals suffer painful death! What a scream!

Simple plan really. Get all the chickens to shift weight on a turn and topple the truck, then escape. Sure, some will be caught, but many won't. Run chickens, run!

The Trooper was amusing doing the cleanup.
But the poor chickens were not.
Think of the biddies.

I don't understand frank2, am I supposed to feel sorry for the chickens? Weren't they on the way to be slaughtered? Maybe these particular chickens were on the way to a nice retreat for chickens to live out their lives in peace and prosperity. A truck load of FOOD spilled.

How is this amusing???????

what the hell, I live in this area, and I still hear about it on Fark first... I even watched WGAL news at five... weird.

That is one dead parrot.
2001-11-19 11:05:03 PM
(I appologize ahead of time...)

1) Can't wait to see the BILL on this one!

2) Since the Chickens didn't know where they were going, they probably had to WING it.

3) I hope they didn't step on their PECKERS.

4) Wonder how many chickens were on the RO(o)STER?

5) I bet they all SCRAMBLED to collect their EGGS.

Drummer: You're fired. Clean out your desk.

Why would a train be delayed because of some chickens? Get the people out of the way and hit the throttle for crying out loud.
2001-11-20 04:01:29 AM
This is why chicken is so dangerous. No one can guarantee a spill won't happen. Big Chicken is responsible for this, don't let them drill on the Alaskan Reserve!

I drive 83 every day into Harrisburg and didn't notice any wayward chickens anywhere either... guess it happened right after I drove by

Me too.... The Ike Xchange isn't as bad as the York split, but at 8:30am, it's a parking lot. Some trooper is probably reconsidering his career choices right about now.
