Not hardly, Japanese are more addicted and pay much more for bluefin tuna. That fish may end up in cans for a few grand. Sushi quality depends on fat content and marbleing. If he fought it too long you risk burning up the fish where they overheat and the meat is not worth nearly as much. Bleeding the fish, gutting it, and icing it down asap is crucial to getting the most money out of a tuna. The last bluefin I caught weighed 750lbs and only paid $14 grand. Winning the million is his best chance of making large bank on that fish.
