If porn was removed from the internet there would only be one site left: www.wheredidalltheporngo.com

His larger plan is to revive the for-pay porn business, which has been overwhelmed by free online smut. Customers will shell out a few bucks to satiate their carnal appetites if they know they'll get superior production values in a fraud-free environment, according to Lawley.

cman: Step one: go to http://www.google.com
Step two: type in "granny takes it up the butt from a horse"
Step three: fap

Can I search for something different than that? You know, it's just, inter-species geriatric equine porn isn't really my thing.

I require internet porn to come find me.

Search for it? Really? Try not finding it without a family filter in place. Now there's a challenge.

"According to Lawley, Search.xxx "will customize users' experience" based on previous searches and will create no online "trails." In other words, no evidence will exist on the user's URL history or other search engines."

Perhaps I am unfamiliar with how these things work, but how do you not create an online trail and still be able to customise search results based on previous use?

cman: Dead for Tax Reasons: there is something other than porn on the internet?

Believe it or not, the Internet was originally designed with military applications in mind. Then big business and academia became involved and the military handed the network off to civilian control. Porn has played a significant role in the commercialization of the Internet.

/The Moar You Know

You are very young, or very naive.

Long before business and academia became involved, what really boosted the Internet was BBS filesharing of porn. That took place right after DARPANet was invented and many many years before normal humans even knew "the Internet" existed. There was a wonderful time when all you could get on a BBS was porn, weapons schematics, porn and credit card numbers. Which were used to buy porn.

Businesses and colleges didn't get involved until about 1994-95. Before that, if you could find anything except porn on the Internet, it was because you were a hacker.

In the early days of GIS you'd get kiddie porn often.

Usenet used to have a few shiatheads that posted tons of nude children (mislabelled too) in all sorts of binary boards. They're pretty much why I stopped using usenet, since I didn't want to get caught with that stuff.

Didn't want to get caught with, eh? Interesting choice of words. Why don't you have a seat right over there.

Not sure if you were just referencing a meme to be funny, or missed his legitimate point.

In the bad old days of usenet, people would post images encoded as text across multiple messages (posts). But modem speeds were sluggish, and finding, downloading and reconstituting the multiple posts needed to stick together a 92Kb jpeg was tedious. A common strategy was to leave a bot running that would just download all of the posts for hours on end and then sift through its results. Problem was, you would point it at a Star Trek board or birder (birdwatching) board or what have you and come back later to find that proto-4chaners had made you an unwitting felon. If you weren't on top of your sifting, someone might find something you didn't even know was there.

Once the web and broadband were common, I was all too happy to ditch usenet.

Proud I have a 2 terabyte external hard drive full of porn. I've done the math, if you assume im gonna fap once a day and it takes me 15 minutes, it will take me 37 years to watch it all.

Step 1. Go to imagefap
Step 2. Search "lolita"
Step 3. Fap like crazy

Remember - if you really want to make sure your search history is fully erased you have to delete the backup copies cached in the System32 files. Windows gives you some BS warning about deleting these because it slows down your Internet explorer the next time you browse because it has to download everything again rather than accessing the temp files stored on your computer.

JackieRabbit: Here's one thing I have never understood. Like most people, I have found that just about any search phrase can be used directly or modified to return gobs of porn. But in all my time on the internet (since there was an internet), I have never come across any kiddie porn. I've never seen a kiddie porn lovers discussion forum either. Do kiddie porn aficionado have some sort of underground network and if so, how do they find one another?

dennysgod: How to find pron on the Internet? It's simple, any site that doesn't contain cats contains porn.

And sometimes a site has both.

Yeah some people just can not tolerate the idea that somebody is getting something for free and not paying them for it.

Only a matter of time before somebody does find a way to make a market for air.
