HortusMatris your view is not that of MIT students . They where not making fun of homeless but had a million dollars worth of HP test equipment and ask the question do these tin foil hat work . One weekend they fired it all up and test the theory finding out it did in fact work as a good antenna at the 1.2 and 2.6 ghz ranges which is interesting because they are not direct harmonics of each other. But then you need not worry your purddy little head about such matters. It time for you to take your meds the nurse gave you.

CygnusDarius: Godscrack: Silly Dave, go make another record.

NephilimNexus: Actually... back when I had dreadlocks, I decorated them with little dozens of little aluminum clasps. The unfortunate side effect of this was that using cellphones would cause me to get headaches within a minute of being on the phone. When the aluminum was removed this problem went away.

that's crazy, dude. maybe cell phones are dangerous!

The solution is simple and easy: you have to wear a tinfoil snood, the modern kind that is a sort of tubular scarf that covers your head and neck, not the old fashioned kind that just holds your hair back.

I just like saying SNOOD.

Have you ever heard Thomas Alva Edison reading "Mary had a little lamb".

He uses the old school pronunciation of "snow" to rhyme with "snew".

It snood, and it snood, and it snood.

tinfoil: most people have never seen this. read up on it's history, it's true.
aluminum foil: use this for cooking.
copper / copper mesh: fine if you want a 'ground'.
lead: now you're talking. even a really thin, fine thickness will do.

now get to work.

Well, this news certainly makes some serious implications about the effectiveness of my wax paper beanie ...

ArcadianRefugee: Ah: 2005.

Damned if I can find the relative Fark thread.

Nope, wait, found it. At least where I recall it from. Don't think there was a specific thread; I'm just remembering the comment.

Still: old old news.

Your memory is impressive. Perhaps you have boosted it by wearing tin foil hats?

thismomentinblackhistory: Is that Dave Grohl?

Wouldn't you wear one too if you were incepted by rockabillies?

Hair are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos, and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason bald-headed men are uptight

Tinfoil hats don't work. That's what the government wants you to believe.

BraveNewCheneyWorld: Holy crap that's hilarious! It's like a tiger repelling rock that (crazy) people are actually buying.

As ridiculous as that is, at least that guy actually believes it and isn't trying to screw his readers. He gives them a full list of materials and instructions and isn't very pushy about trying to sell anything himself.

Wenchmaster: you can confuse the minders monitoring your brainwaves by drinking Bosco mixed with bourbon or gin

I feel sure I could confuse anyone or anything with that, mostly myself.
