lasercannon: I don't care about plotlines, all I care about is finding out if Yvonne Strahovski's character gets naked on the show.

I've never seen a single episode of this show, but I suddenly want to. Is she in the entire series, or what?

Everyone keeps mistakenly calling Ray Stevenson 'that guy from The Other Guys'. You should be saying he's Titus Pullo from Rome.

Easy thing to get confused about, but not true. Harry Morgan did have an affair with Laura Moser, but he was not Dexter's real father. We know for a fact that Joe Driscoll (the guy Dexter, Rita, Deb, and Brian clear out the house of in season one) was Dexter's biological father; Dexter sent samples of both his and Joe's blood to Masuka and it came back a match as his father.

Will-Mun: I liked the fake out opening there, with Dexter apparently on the run. Or should I say I would have, had the preview before the episode not given away the fact Deb helped Dexter destroy the evidence with the church fire.

I thought they were doing something similar to the season premier of Breaking Bad this year, as in showing Dexter on the run in the future. Glad it didn't go down that way.

And man, I was disappointed Enver Gjokaj didn't get much screen time, I absolutely loved him in Dollhouse.

22 minutes in, and already, this season is better than the entirety of last season.

Bathia_Mapes: simplicimus: Bathia_Mapes: No, Showtime has commissioned season 8, so this isn't the final season.

Well, yeah, but last season Debs said that she didn't only love Dexter, she was in love with him. And Debs has a long history of picking the wrong man. And she doesn't know what Dexter knows, that they have the same father. Oh, and that catching him doing that thing he does.

We'll see. In the books, which most of us know differ a great deal from the show after season 1, not only has Deb known about Dexter's proclivities, but she's asked him to take someone out for her at least once. The Deb in the books isn't quite as rigid when it comes to police department regulations as she is in the series.
