I really don't like Belichick and I don't think that warranted a fine. Talking to someone who's walking away from you and hasn't heard you usually results in either raising your voice (clearly impossible in that situation) or alerting them through the sense of touch, frequently by doing something like grabbing their shoulder. It's not like he took a crack at the guy. Seems like asking for something to be explained or voicing a concern should be acceptable.

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've seen coaches speak with refs after other games are over, right?

Which is funny since the NBA officiating is the worst in professional American sports(which allows international soccer/FIFA and Formula 1 to maintain its lofty internationally worst officiating statuses)
