Classic Russian mafia con. While everyone is staring at the dog in the middle of the street, guys come up behind everyone and steal all the wallets, passports and cell phones.

I was driving along a country road in the middle of nowhere, and there was this dog sitting right in the middle of my lane, staring off in the other direction. I expected him to hear me coming and move. He didn't. I was the only "traffic" for miles, so I slowed down to a crawl, and moved over to the other side of the road. But I gave a little honk of the horn, just to let him know I was there. I didn't want him to jump in front of me at the last second. He didn't jump, he just gave me a dirty look and walked slowly back into his driveway. "Geez, I'm just minding my own business, sittin' in the road, and this guy is honkin' at me!"
