I thought the only water in the forest was the river? Was I misinformed?

Well, a strong case certainly. But then she'd get all 'stabby'.

Sorry, Nyssa's sweater elephants for the win.

1: Sara Jane FTW.
2: Donna Noble was the best of the new companions. She best exemplified the "normal person caught up in the weirdness of the Doctor" of any of them.

River isn't living backwards, they are meeting each other at opposite ends of their relationship. The first time the Doctor met her, in the library, was the last time for her, because she died in that episode. But yeah, it's a bit convoluted and hard to wrap your head around and it's hard to say if the writer's can be consistent with it.

I also had the impression, from early River episodes, that the first time she met the Doctor was going to be the last time the Doctor met her, but we've seen that to be false already - they first met technically on Demon's Run, but for the first time after that was in the Nixon episode. Well, unless they add one more, but she was supposedly under the thumb of that one-eyed woman the entire time in between. Next meeting after that (as both timelines go, for once) was the Let's Kill Hitler episode.

Anyways, this may help.. or not. http://www.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/features/river-songs-diary/

It's the Internet. Of course someone's mapped it out.

Or are we limited to just companions?

I really REALLY wish they would have brought her back into the story line.

Like HELLO! You created ANOTHER TIME LORD! Took a ship and left the planet of her creation to go explore the universe. Might be worth a re-visit...

She went back in time and reincarnated as this guy:

HailRobonia: bdub77: A million ponds pales in comparison to a gorgeous river:

This is totally a "pointy knees" comment, but I always thought Summer Glau was really homely. Her face looks vaguely Downs Syndrome/Fetal Alcohol Syndrome -ish.

uh-oh. someone forget to leave out a saucer for kitty?

brantgoose: Since most ponds are polluted by run-off, the solution is to build them on the top of hills.

Windmills do not work that way!

A million pounds? I'd do both Romannas at the same time.

"'People called Romannas they go the house'??"

"It says 'Romannas go home'!"

I was going to make some comment agreeing with the wonderfulness of Rose, but as a straight woman, I realize my opinion has no value in this here "which companion is HOTTER!" thread.

/If I liked girls, I'd prefer Rose.

Good ponds have thriving wildlife - even if that means leeches as well

And mosquitoes.

It's natural, so it must be good for the environment.
