If you think Romney is going to improve the economy you are kidding yourself. The last time I checked it was a Republican administration and its Republican "pro-big business and look the other way" polices that crashed the economy in the first place.

Damn, right it is.

Supply side doesn't work, capitulating to lobbyists on the behalf of the 1% and multinational corporations is how America got into it's current mess and it's not how to get out of it.

Of course you shouldn't discount the social issues completely.

Not when the GOP have ratcheted up the culture wars to a point we haven't seen since before R v. W was decided. 

/Also, a sense of perspective on America's relative strength versus other western industrialized countries who are going through tougher times replete with austerity budgets might come in handy here.

Am I better off than I was 4 years ago? Yes. Much better.

I got all bootstrappy and fixed my own situation after getting laid off. I didn't need Romney to fix my situation, why do you? Obama has done fine by me.
