Haven't lived in Houston in years, but every time I go back, Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen on Westheimer and Dairy Ashford. Get the Enchilada's and finish it with Tres Leche. mmmmmm...I miss Tex-Mex - none to be found worth a damn here in NYC.

I once went to a Mexican comedy show at Irvine Meadows with the sole intent of heckling Mencia and getting kicked out. Had to sit through Fluffy and Cheech and Chong (the are gawd awful these days) to get to Carlos' act but I made it.

After his first joke I stood up and made eye contact with him and yelled, "That was great Carlos, who'd you steal that one from?" I must have been sitting in relatives section because some old bag with boobs like half filled water balloons stood up and started berating me. I met security at the aisle and walked out happily.

Mencia is in therapy because of the accusations? He blatantly ripped people off, his version of Cosby's joke about teaching your son to play football was only different in very minor details, and of course his delivery sucked. There's no way he could have not stolen that joke. Perhaps he's never been tried in a court of law, but using the word "accusations" is way too kind.

I was pleasantly surprised that the quote in the headline was actually in the article.
