MythDragon: "I was paid $2,000 for unlimited usage for Volvo for their S40 model," Giles told ABC News' Diana Perez.

The most offensive, unauthorized use of her image, she says, was on an Australian dating website promoting a night of socializing, sponsored by Volvo

Maybe you don't understand what 'unlimited' means?

FTFA: a photo exclusively for Volvo's S40 model car has turned up in ad after ad for all kinds of products from tourism to rental cars
Maybe you don't understand what "exclusively for Volvo's S40" means.

Ok, didn't read the article, but can we all agree on something here? We expect NSFW tags, can we get one for links with bullshiate autoplay ads that can't be stopped?

That was neat. I got to sit through a loud ad for BeautyRest before it told me that the video is not available in my location (Central Europe)... Kudos to ABCNews, way to protect the InternetS from foul expatriates like myself.

Gig103: If it's true, then she has a valid case. Too bad her multi-million dollar lawsuit makes her look like a fool instead of a professional.

It depends on whether the S40 is among the "various types and sizes of models" from which to choose. If it is not, then I would say she has a case, and could probably win damages. Which she better, seeing as how by suing her modeling agency, and she isn't that hot, she has just commited professional suicide.

If the S40 is among the group, then it will be ruled that she is a useless coont, and will be curbstomped until she at least gets a boob job.

My guess is that Ford told her to get some airbags because she just isn't that hot, and she used this tongue-in-cheek "model" wordplay to trump up some bogus outrage because she could see her modeling expiration date on the horizon, and she is trying to make as much money as she can. My guess is that her indignation will will subside with an out-of-court settlement in the $150,000 range.

FTA: Giles doesn't buy the play-on-words defense. "It took me really, really looking through it at least two times for me to even get to that," she said.

Well, honey, that's why you're a model and not a college professor.
