tenpoundsofcheese: EnviroDude: Has the Obama admin sent any Wall Street exec to jail for their part in any of the 2007 meltdowns?

Only those found guilty of actually breaking laws (vs. doing stupid stuff).

Actually, there was a recent article (can't find it, but I may have found it here on Fark) where the DoJ said that their investigation (not into this particular issue) did find criminal activity at some of the big banks, but that they weren't going to press charges.

Of course there aren't going to be any charges. That's how it's supposed to work when no crimes are committed.

Boudica's War Tampon: Where is our Nuremberg for these guys? We were fighting two wars when these people stole billions upon billions of dollars. If they had been wearing another uniform instead of their standard business suit, we could have taken them out and shot them.

Seriously, where is our tribunal?

I have nothing BUT I'd like to take this moment to point out that your username makes me chuckle because it makes me think of, oddly enough, some magical talisman in a weed-inspired Dungeons and Dragons hack-n-slash session.

SilentStrider: You know, I'm amazed nobody has done something incredibly stupid and violent to these people yet.
Not that I endorse or even condone it, but if it happened, I wouldn't be all that surprised.

Horrified, maybe, but not surprised.

I'm not saying I'd agree, but I understand.
