ZAZ: Please remember to listen to the spaceship's discovery report this time. Data from an earlier boundary crossing was lost because they didn't tune in that day.

The boundary take months and months to pass through, its not like a discrete border. Or is that the story they are feeding everyone because they were asleep at the wheel.
