there are some who call me...

Skid Roe v. Wade Boggs: I know this is a little off the radar,so it probably doesn't qualify, but "Lay Low" from My Morning Jacket is pretty strong.

Excellent choice, glad someone mentioned it. The second half (close to 3'03") of that song is an outro. I also like the outro in "Dondante", but then I have a soft spot for the way Jim James sings that song.

..........cue "The way that he sings"..............

As an instrumentalist total snob, I hate the words "intro" and "outro".

They imply that a song is just the singing part, and the rest is filler.

Given that there's absolutely NO instrumental musicianship in newer songs, it appears the notion that only the words count caught on. And it appears that there's an onion on my belt.

Deddude9988: Ugh... I HATE the outro to Layla. It goes on longer than the rest of the freaking song!

Jesus Christ. That whole dipshiat song is a big pile of stupid and stink. To comprehend its magnitude of suckage is mentally and emotionally draining.

I was always partial to the end of "More Than This".
