LOL

Pica is a real disease. Just not one of the cool ones that get you sympathy, it's one of the ones that gets you mocked and shamed.

I have my doubts dirt is that rich in iron.

Only if you sell your story to the Daily Mail. Then you're probably making it up anyway.

There's a pizza place in Montana that puts them on their salads. Kinda like tiny croutons. It's actually pretty good.

Pica's really real.

I had pica back in 2006 that was caused by an insane-o iron deficiency... my body stopped absorbing iron from my food unbeknownst to me until I started having weird food cravings out of nowhere. I wouldn't eat rocks (WTF?), though my hematologist said that's not so unusual. Instead I would eat bags and bags of fresh spinach like it was going out of style... I had never really cared about spinach either way before. We're not talking "Gee, I could kinda go for some spinach;" we're talking "If I don't get spinach right now I'm afraid I might die." Then I got my first iron infusion and the next morning I was like, "What kind of dumbass keeps so much spinach in their fridge?" Just like that.

Bodies. Go figure.

/spinach
//also, spinach
///ok, back to lurking

What I always found interesting with pica is that you seem to know unconsciously what things (or at least close to it) have the missing minerals.
