NFL Films explains all. Ah so, you see, it really wasn't about who was the best pro football player who won a Heisman. NFL Films exacting criteria involves:

■ Who had the best NFL career?
■ Who had signature plays and great moments?
■ Who had box-office appeal? Who sells tickets? Who sells jerseys?
■ Who has cultural resonance? Who passes the Mom test?

The Mom test? WTF does a player's appeal to moms have to do with anything?

My mom, who has never displayed the slightest interest in the NFL asked me about Tebow the other day.
I would bet a lot of money that the only other NFL player who's name she knows is O.J. Simpson and I wouldn't assume she knew O.J. played football once upon a time.

People like her are what Timmy! brings to the table.
