Exception Collection: topcon: Oh, Jesus, you're retarded. I've said "on average" about ten times.

Except that this point has been acknowledged earlier. "Average" transwoman is an oxymoron: We are, by definition, outliers.

Yes, but don't you understand? Transwomen may be stronger than average women, so therefore, average women cannot compete with the Men's super heavyweight boxing champion.

tarheel07: potterydove: Can it reproduce? If so, what gender must its partner be?

Gender doesn't work that way.

Of course it does. That's why prepubescent children are genderless, and also why women lose their gender when they hit menopause. I mean, what else would you call your Grandfather and Grandotherparent?

After the last thread about this topic, I did a lot of thinking and I came to several conclusions and a much greater understanding of this subject. This is what I came up with:

In all honesty, there really is no harm whatsoever in considering TG men to be "real" women. It doesn't harm society, it doesn't change anything for the worst, it can, in fact, make life better for the TG'ed. Frankly, it is all just a matter of perception and definition, and it matters very little in the grand scheme of things. I can see the possibility that in time TG'ed people being legally accepted as "real" women, and allowed to compete/enter all contests open to women only, no questions asked. There is no harm in this, it might even be for the greater good of society, and it certainly is for the greater good of the transgendered.

Other than it's simply not true.

I'm a guy who considers fake tits to be fake. I am not a fan of them, but it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker if I was really attracted to the woman, I just wouldn't consider them to be "real" tits. Real tits are not surgically enhanced/altered. Butt implants? Fake. Lip fillers? Fake. Were you born that way/with that potential? No. Did you have to surgically alter yourself to look that way? Yes? Fake. This is how I define real and fake. It is simply a matter of how I look at it, and nothing is going to change that. I wouldn't consider a woman who had fake tits, butt implants, and cosmetic surgery to be 100% real, so there is no way I will consider a TG man to be a "real" woman. Of course, I am middle aged, and was brought up with clear definitions of what a "real" woman/man is, so I can see in the future my way of thinking being considered archaic and backward. I accept this, and once again do not see any harm in in considering TG men to be "real" women, other than to me it is simply not true.

That said, she is hot.

mekki: So, a woman who has had a nose job, cheek implants, chin shave, hairline adjustment and boob job gets to be part of a competition that says, "This is the standard look of a beautiful woman."

/Yeah...that's not screwy at all

It's a good thing there are strict rules against any sort of cosmetic surgery in these paegents, or you'd look like quite an idiot.

This means that, quite possibly, there is a landfill out there that holds the dessicated remains of Miss Universe's discarded penis.

Just let that sink in for as second.

In a statement late Monday night, the Miss Universe Organization said Jenna Talackova can compete provided "she meets the legal gender recognition requirements of Canada, and the standards established by other international competitions."

The statement, however, did not elaborate on what the requirements were.

Hmmm... What requirements are needed?

Private strip show for the committee?

A test?

I'm very tolerant, don't really care what people do with their own lives, and regret that people can be so unkind to each other, but this is disgusting. Like many rational people, I run DNA checks and hormone analysis on everybody I meet, and damn straight that this THING would not meet my criteria for a woman.
