Many species of birds feature same sex couples, penguins are far from the only ones. Swans are perhaps the most stunning example, because swans partner for life and only once, when one of the pair dies the remaining swan will never partner again, so same sex partners are partners for life. Also the incidence is pretty high among swans, one in twelve pairs or there abouts is a same sex couple and the size of the local population has no effect on it. That one in twelve is found in very large populations and small populations.

And the deadliest animal of all-human.

And according to the GOP, they are going to force it down our throats until we like it.

Surprising how many scientists study teh ghey when they should be finding a cure!!

Trollin' trollin' trollin'

Since when is standing together with another male a sign of gayness? oh...that's right...they are NAKED!!

Kinda weird that they will be forced to have sex with a sexual type not of their choosing...prison thing I suppose.

Currently the major threats to these penguins include oil pollution and competition from commercial fisheries for their natural food supply.

yes, those publications had written articles too

These two are living in sin and weakening the institution of penguin marriage. What`s next, penguin gay adoption? If our children begin seeing the gay penguin lifestyle as normal, what is to stop them from making that life choice themselves??

Homosexuality is a Learned Behaviour. The instinct for sex involves thrusting and groping and kissing and so forth. If you get horny at the sight of a naked man, or if you get horny at the sight of a naked woman, it is only because you have been taught to make that association.

Homosexuality is often a compromise for those who are unable to form normal relationships.

clearly, this is what happens when the gay agenda runs amok and escapes the controls of a civilized society.

not happy with pushing a gay agenda on our children, the radical gay movement is now going after zoo animals.

I feel sick

Homosexuality is common in most species that have a spine.

Also to the people why scream, moan and troll that its a learned behavior, so?

I thought people, at least in the US, are FREE to make choices about their own lives?

One of my birds is gay. Despite efforts to breed him, he would never even approach a male of his species, but partnered with (and raised fostered chicks with) another male.

Drakuun: when did you choose to be straight?

It wasn't a conscious choice. I was brought up in a stable environment with proper role models. I never attended boarding school or had a paedophilic scout master. Homosexuality simply wasn't an issue.

Strangely, I'd have to agree. While there are plenty of instances of homosexuality in nature, the oft repeated (seriously subby, where have you been the last 5 years) penguin stories aren't about homosexuality.

Just because you decide you do not want to deal with the shiat that goes along with the opposite sex (male or female) does not mean you are gay.

So-called homosexuality in animals isn't actual sodomy. It's simply dishonest to equate pairing behaviour in animals with the desire of a woofter to take a turgid meat missile up the back passage.

That being said, if homosexuality in humans is to be justified by behaviours that are observed in nature, then eating shiat and killing your own young are no longer taboo, for animals do those as well.

Considering we're not the ones that brought up this silly requirement for justification- that a sexual behavior must be "natural" in order to fit in with society- I think you'd be barking up the wrong tree.

letrole: That being said, if homosexuality in humans is to be justified by behaviours that are observed in nature, then eating shiat and killing your own young are no longer taboo, for animals do those as well.

The reason we ban killing our young is that reasonable people - Christians, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, Daoists, Shintos, and people that hang out in the woods banging on a drum while high on shrooms*, have all come to the same conclusion that killing the young is objectively wrong. Different justifications exist, but we can all say, unequivocally, barring exceptional circumstances, killing a baby (and a baby, by definition is born, not unborn).

Christians, who are against homosexuality because of their personal beliefs, have been trying to come up with a reason why everyone should agree with them. An objective reason why homosexuality is bad. And they can't, except that it is somehow unnatural. And it's not really. The penguins are showing that. So, if you want to convince us that somehow homosexual behavior is objectively wrong, not just wrong in your own little warped desert personality cult, you need to come up with better arguments.
