The first 500,000 copies of the Obie Trice album will randomly contain three "Golden Tickets". The winners of the tickets will get an all expenses paid trip to Detroit and hang out with Eminem in the studio while he makes his follow-up to The Eminem Show.

Boy, that Obie Trice (who?) album must be laayyyyyyyyy-ame. "Hey kids! Buy this album and you'll get a chance to see somebody else record another album!"

The trick is to watch Eminem record, you have to buy Obie Trice's album.

only one problem. it's illegal to do that (unless they're offering a some sort of free way to obtain one of the tickets). the FTC will shut that down in a hurry.

I don't care what you think about him or his music, that's a good promotion they came up with, and (yes, I am a republican) anyone with any intellectual honesty clearly has to admit there are few popular musicians today with even half of the talent he has as a lyricist...lyricist, not musician, LYRICIST, meaning lyrics.

/trying to preempt getting flamed by equating rap with more refined styles of music.

...and before the flames begin, I'm not talking about cussing and 'biatchez' and all that crap, I'm talking about the fact that while most popular music concerns itself with absolutely nothing worthwhile, Eminem tackles subjects such as minors with guns, class envy, racism, idol worship, broken families, etc...clearly not 'Tha Thong Song' or any useless drivel like that.
